50 Hand Challenge Pack - 244 Hand References by SenshiStock

This is a ZIP file of 244 hand poses. This is being uploaded for general reference and for the 50 Foot, 50 Hand Challenge. Please check it out and consider participating!

This is mostly my drawing hand so there are some blisters and things. My right pinky has a tendon deformity that doesn't always allow me to extend it fully. Also, some of these images feature a double jointed thumb.

Thank you for doing all this, it's amazing. If I could make a request I would ask for hands interacting? Like some of the stuff you did with Sinned Angel Stock (which I loved) but with a focus on the hands, because the resolution is a bit low when you blow the images up to draw the hands.

I don't really see why this is necessary. We all have hands and mirrors. We're not born with hooves and paws, it's only a trapeziod and five cylindrical rectangles.
People should really learn their shapes.

Well, it is impossible to see your own proportions or to understand perspective using a mirror. You'd have to have someone either take your photo or have someone stand for you in whatever way.
BUT!
it is not impossible to look at your own hand.
Unless you had a horrible accident or someone chopped of both of your hands for stealing, in which case, how are you even able to draw.

however, i have to say, most people aren't ambidextrous. if i'm trying to draw my dominant hand (which is my right), i would have to use my left hand to draw, which i'm unable to.

True, I guess. But some angles are easier to see on another person, and having a quick set of hands to rapidly flip through for gesture sketches is useful.

Thank you soooo much for this!!! Since yesterday i've been trying to find a hand pose to use as a reference in my comic .___.
It's a simple relaxed hand pose, with the fingers curled to the palm but I still haven't found the perfect one! Since you have 244 photos (that's insane!!) i'm very hopeful

Hands and feet. Sometimes I'm like, "man, I drew and awesome hand/foot there." Other times, "whytheisuadfyaskdhjisn't this working???"
