Locked out for the 3rd Time In a Month

Deviantart seems keen to not allow me to be very happy or productive on their site lately.

This is the third time in a month I've been locked out of my account. I don't know how many of you have ever experienced this, but basically what happens is you go to check messages or something and you're suddenly logged out. When you try to log back in, you're told you have the incorrect password.

You don't, actually. And you can't reset it even if you tried. It's just that DA has decided something about your account is bad, something on their secret 'do not do' list, and since it's apparently suspicious, they lock you out for some unknown amount of time. Actually, resetting your password will lock you out longer. So will attempting to log in before the lock out is over. It's all automatic and if you ask them about it they say, well it's something you did that was bad so bad you and too bad (pretty much).

I used to think this had something to do with logging in and out of more than one account on multiple devices because I was told it was due to 'invalid session cookies' so I have been really careful about that lately, being sure to log out on one device before logging in on another. DA actually told me this is not what's causing the previous lock outs.

This time, I really have no idea. There's been a huge increase in use of the stock due to the Draw Everything June Challenge (You guys are really rocking it! I can't believe how many of you are participating!! ). Maybe because I've been favoriting hundreds of images, DA decided I'm a baddy and must go?

I really don't know, but it's really difficult to run this kind of huge account (that I pay for, by the way...) if I can't have reasonable and regular access to it.

How am I posting this journal, you may ask? Well, that's the dumbest thing about these lock outs - it only locks out the IP you were using (in this case, my home IP). I can still log in on my cell network or via a proxy. Other than being completely and totally annoying, it's also pretty much pointless.

I'm happy I can still at least get in to the account, but obviously on the cell is not a super useful way to use the site, and Sta.sh and some areas of DA you can't use via a proxy so there's a lot of stuff I can't do (like submit deviations).

Considering the amount of traffic that comes to this site via my gallery, it would be REALLY cool if I could use the site as intended. I'm thinking maybe it's time I set up a completely independent site for my stock and close up shop on DA. Would you guys come along?
