I've previously toyed with the idea of offering commissioned stock where  artist pay me for specific poses they need in a more urgent timeline  than my suggestions list.  I've done one paid shoot for a client who  contacted me directly and it was a great experience.  I would love to  continue to offer paid stock for people who need specific poses in a  timely manner so I'm creating this journal to outline some requirements  and guidelines for how my commissioned stock would work.

STOCK COMMISSIONS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED but I am setting up this page so the information is available when I choose to open them.

If  you have a moment, please help me refine this page by responding to my  questions at the end and by asking me any additional questions you might  have about such a process.  Thanks!

Price
Commissioned  stock is $5USD per photo. I will also accept DA Points at 400 :points: per photo.  Buyers would be required to be purchasing a minimum of 10  photos (that's $50USD or 4000 :points:).

Process
The  client contacts me for a shoot request with a list of poses required.  I  review the list and make sure I can do them. We agree on a date for the  shoot based on my schedule. A 50% deposit for the total number of  requested images is due at least three (3) days before the shoot day via  Money Order or PayPal.  The shoot takes place on the agreed upon date.   Low-res, watermarked proofs are sent to the client for approval within  24 hours.  Once the proofs are approved, client sends final 50% payment  within one (1) week, or seven (7) days.  When payment has cleared, I  deliver the hi-res final stock photos are delivered to the client  electronically.

Currently I can only offer ONE FEMALE MODEL  for these commissions as I am my own regularly available model.  If I  plan in advance to have another model available, I will post a special  about it.

Collective Client Shoot
Collective  Client Shoot will occur when I have open spaces for commissions but more  than one client to fill them. There will be a minimum number of  available slots (typically 10).  Individual clients will be able to book  any number of slots and the shoot will take place once all the slots  are all full.  Each client will be responsible for their own portion of  the stock shoot payment up front. Everyone will be sent their own hi-res  final stock photos electronically.

Client Terms of Use for Paid Stock
Paid  stock has the same rules as any images from SenshiStock: you are  allowed to share, copy, distribute, transmit, remix, and adapt the stock  as you need it.  You are allowed commercial use of the stock.  You are  required to credit SenshiStock.deviantart.com when the stock is used in  photo manipulations and when it is shared in its raw format in other  locations on or offline. As always, public credit is not required when  the stock is used solely as pose reference.

SenshiStock's Use for Paid Stock
I  retain the rights to the images produced in paid stock.   I also  reserve the right to used paid stock in future SenshiStock book and  e-book publications as well as to repackage and resell the paid sock  from my DeviantART account as a exclusive package unless we agree upon  not doing so before the shoot takes place. I may ask for an additional  fee for stock that you do not want resold.

Cancellation Policy
Deposits  are non-refundable unless I am unable to complete the shoot on the  agreed upon day, or if I am unable to complete a certain pose due to  other unforeseeable circumstances (illness, injury, etc.).  If I am  unable to complete the shoot on the agreed upon date I will contact the  client to try and reschedule.  If a rescheduled date cannot be agreed  upon with both parties then a refund of the deposit will be issued.   Clients who do not contact me about their final payment within one (1)  week, or seven (7) days, of receiving their proofs will still be  entitled to 50% of their images which will be selected at my discretion  after they make the full, final payment. In cases where there is an odd  number of images the number of images sent will be rounded down to the  closet whole image.  Should the client wish to purchase the remaining  images at a later date they will have to pay an additional $1 late fee  per image.  There will be no refunds issued once the final hi-res images  have been sent to the client.

My questions for you:
- Do you feel this information is clear and easy to understand?
- Are there any things I am missing with this policy to protect myself as a stock provider?
- What are some major problems or snags you could foresee with this kind of service as a potential client?
- Do you have any lingering questions after reading this information?
- How cool is SenshiStock? ;P

Thanks you guys! :squee:

I think it's very clear, and professionally written. I don't see any obvious problems with it, and I like the idea of also doing the collective client shoot.

How cool is SenshiStock? As cool as a dinosaur wearing a top hat :giggle:

Yes, other than the aforementioned inability to guarantee additional models :D

Looking forward to this!

I still need to purchase your last pose book.

Will definitely have to think of a collection of poses to purchase once my finances stabilize from Christmas shopping.
