little slow in responding but I think it was pretty good, made some progress: [link]
4 months into deviantart and still on a GoT/ASOIAF fix My goal for 2013 is to add more dynamic poses to the gallery and I might use your photos for references senshistock! when I do, I will let you know!
"It wasn't really that great; there's a lot of things on which I could've worked harder." I submitted a lot of photography in 2012 and a few art pieces worth a mention, but my writing was practically non-existent and my art was few and far between. Another problem I had from 2010-2012 is spending 50+ hours on a single artwork. And don't get me started on how much time I take for my writing, even a single one-shot (more than 100 hours I can't even). Which is also why I don't have an art summary for 2012.
So far in 2013, I'm improving greatly. I've completed and submitted 5 artworks/photos/stories in 7 days, and I'm averaging 10-20 hours a piece. I hope to keep this kind of pace throughout the year (at least 1 or 2 submissions a week) and if you ask this question again at the end of this year, I hope to be answering the most positive one, "It was awesome! I learned and accomplished a lot this year."
Well here is mine: [link] this was really my first year of art, actually being serious about it, and I'm extremely proud of my improvement. I'm excited for 2013 now that I've found your gallery and can use these references!
I think 2012 was amazing for my art improvement! I really feel I get better after every drawing I do. Specially considering I don't even draw that much XD
This year I tried much harder to get into backgrounds; it's really difficult, but I feel I'm getting somewhere :3 I also experimented with a new (to me) way of shading, using the marker tool, and also got into lineart-less paintings and pixel art! So I can say I tested out a lot of new things on 2012, and I'm happy with what I've learned from each one of them >w<
Got my first camera. Ever. I've been doing a lot of stuff I didn't actually know I could do, like PS and I started learning how to use my cousin's digital tablet. For someone who hasn't done much art since 2010, it was a very productive year, I guess
